Mr. Rood`s assists burgeoning entrepreneurs to build valuable and profitable businesses, a role for which he has the very skills and wisdom. For over 30 years, Mr. Rood used his entrepreneurial talent and vision to build and lead numerous successful automotive, real estate, and Internet ventures. Starting as a part stocker, he rose to become the President of the Rood Nissan/Volvo and Rood Buick/Pontiac dealerships in Seattle. He also founded Ajax Rent-A-Car of Washington, Ajax Park-n-Fly, Instant Service (www.instant service.com), Commercial Automotive Service, and Commercial Tire Company. In the early 1990`s, Mr. Rood recognized that the Internet would become a major force in the automotive world, quickly created and built the first automotive website, DealerNet, to provide a venue for dealers to advertise their inventory, allowing customers, for the first time in history, to browse through every vehicle model from their computer at home or work. This had never been done before in the history of the automobile world. DealerNet was the first e-Commerce site to sell an automobile on the Internet. DealerNet was later sold to Reynolds and Reynolds for US$ 18 million. Mr. Rood continued his association with Reynolds and Reynolds by helping it to forge a strategic alliance with Microsoft`s Carpoint (www.autos.msn.com). Leveraging on DealerNet`s automotive expertise and databases, Carpoint has grown to become the largest automotive resource and purchase site in the world. Utilizing his technology experience, Mr. Rood continues to invest and operate in the Internet space by founding Instant Service.com, Newstand.com, and Netstock Direct. Mr. Rood graduated first in his class from University of Washington with degrees in Psychology and Business Administration. In addition to his real estate license, Mr. Rood also has his Series 7 and Series 63 securities license and is a Managing Director of Stonebridge Securities LLC.
